Team in Training, Marathoner

After committing to participating in my second marathon, I knew that I wanted the second experience to be far more positive and personalized than my first. HVT provided me with the exact personalized tools and training plans that I needed to train in a smart way that allowed me to cross the finish line of the marathon fitter, stronger, faster, and more confident than I had ever been. I took over an hour off of my marathon time and crossed the finish line feeling fantastic! Along my training journey with HVT, I have also picked up my first age group medals in a 5k and adventure race, took 3 minutes off of my 5K personal best, and took off over 20 minutes of my half marathon time! As I train for my third full marathon, I am reminded daily of the reasons why I will never train without HVT! I train with full confidence in Menachem Brodie and Human Vortex Training! One year ago, I never would have called myself an athlete. Now, I call myself one with pride! Thanks to HVT, I have become the athlete I never would have thought possible

CAT Racing

This is the beginning of my second year of racing. I began last year racing collegiate C’s for exercise and fun but didn’t have much success which was frustrating. I sought help and after discussing my desires for the upcoming summer season with HVT. I received a plan that was tailored exactly to my needs, while helping me strengthen my areas of weakness. By the end of that summer I had upgraded from cat 5 to cat 3, attained many podium spots all while being able to communicate effectively with HVT. After a long-term based winter program I raced collegiate A’s this year and have been seeing my competitiveness and strength increase as I begin my summer season. This summer I hope to upgrade to cat 2 and continue being competitive, while HVT ensures that my long term goals are on track for achievement. Through attentiveness, proper application of short and long-term goals, and amazing communication skills HVT will continue to be my X factor in my cycling pursuits.

When I started racing 2 years ago, I had no training, no coaching and no real goals or tactics for racing. I decided to take my racing more seriously and sought the help of our team coach at HVT and have seen increases in strength and endurance from following the training plans. Unfortunately a rather serious crash has sidelined me for the rest of this season, but my goals of upgrading to Cat 3 and being a competitive non-collegiate racer remain and I look forward to working with HVT to improve my cycling skills and strength to become a better/smarter racer.

Reason I Started Racing: Because I wanted to ride my bike really fast.

    Placements:
1st place Most Aggressive Rider in the C category 2009 season at the Washington Blvd. track.
1st place Team ProGraphics for the season Cat. C
      10th place Washington Blvd. track.
      2nd place Washington Blvd. track.
10th place Washington Blvd. track. 2nd place Washington Blvd. track.

When I first started the season of 2009 I had almost no on the bike training at all and I had no coaching. The first races that I ever entered were down at the Washington Boulevard track. I was one of the riders who would get dropped by the cat. C field within the first few laps. Then after about a few races I hired Menachem to be my coach, and he started me on a really good training program that he created and tailored just to fit my strengths and weaknesses. Two weeks into my first training program I was easily hanging in with the pack and finishing with them. As the season progressed and I got stronger my brother and I wanted to win first and second place M.A.R. (Most Aggressive Rider is the person who, as the pack goes around the course, he is the one who crosses the start/finish line first each lap). I ended up winning 1st place M.A.R. and my brother took 2nd place, he also works with Menachem. Most of my first season was plagued with crashes and mechanical problems during races away from the track. At the end of the season I felt in top form and was looking for new challenges in the upper levels of cycling. This would not have been possible if it wasn’t for Menachem coaching me.
